Client Looks: Claire

Today's Client Look is actually a former Metier alum! Our friend, Claire Ptak, is a former Chez Panisse pastry chef and is now the owner of Violet Cakes in London. She's in town for a few days so she stopped by today on her way to her book signing and picked up some goodies. How cute is she in her Isabel Marant Astia Ribbon Sweatshirt and Dicker boots?

Siew-Chinn came in with our good friend, Shawn, for a little Monday morning shopping and we instantly fell for her contagious smiles and high energy. She worked the camera so well in her favorite spring pieces from Alexander Wang, Raquel Allegra, and Isabel Marant- she must have been a model in a past life!

We are all huge fans of charm bracelets and clusters of charms, so our eyes lit up when we saw Tracy's charm necklace. She made it herself from various keepsakes, heirlooms, and a few Metier pieces: the Cathy Waterman dreamer charm and fossilized coral shell and antiques. Such a great idea and easy way to show off a collection of special baubles.

Shawn Burke has been one of our good friends and clients for many, many years and we have always admired her strong sense of beauty and style. This outfit, with our much-loved Equipment shirts, is the perfect example of her eclectic, fun-loving style! She and Camille Mason recently launched their own bag line, Herringbone- clutches, pouches, and makeup bags in candy-colored suede, all made in LA. Refinery29 is one of our favorite daily reads for fashion and style, so we asked Katie, the San Francisco Editor, to come in to style up her perfect fall outfits with our current collections. She started off with essential basics like the Brett blouse by Equipment and the red Dalmeny dress- "I live in button-downs and stripes! So, I'm especially loving Metier's offerings this season. The Equipment top is such a simple piece, but adds just the right amount of pop."
The self-described "lemlem fiend" was also excited to play around with the new shipment of neon scarves and finished off her outfits with some bold accessories by Jeanine Payer, Isabel Marant, and Alexander Wang.

Cairn came in the other day in this head-to-toe Metier outfit that we had to shoot for the blog! She was on her way to a poetry reading in some of our favorite pieces from this season- the Rag & Bone Wessex boots and Strand blazer, Etoile by Isabel Marant Vertil blouse and Current/Elliott Stilettos in blue note. We know you guys love our Client Looks features, so we decided it would be fun to invite some of our most inspiring clients to be guest models on the blog. We are constantly inspired by the looks you guys put together, so we wanted to share them with everyone! 

We were excited to have Racine, an SF-based hair and make up artist, as our first model! Racine integrates vintage, young designers, and boutique lines into her wardrobe for a fun, effortless look. We ran into her everywhere at NYFW looking amazing on her bicycle, riding to and from the backstages of Oscar de la Renta, Rag & Bone, and shoots for Glamour Magazine.

For fall, she's excited about our cozy knits by souchi and Rag & Bone, the deep ruby color of the Athe by Vanessa Bruno jeans, and the perfect orangey peach lipstick, YSL #21.

We put a lot of thought into styling outfits for the blog, so we're always thrilled to get good feedback from you guys! We were extra excited today when Helen came in for this entire Isabel Marant outfit that we posted a few days ago that she just had to have. How cute does she look in the Lexy Jacket and Vabeth dress?!

Helen works in marketing at a startup in the Presidio and also has a blog, What Helen Wore Today. You have to check out her photos of her trip to China! Besides loving her adorable travel outfits, we're totally getting dumplings for lunch today after drooling all over the screen at the sight of her meals in Beijing.

We absolutely adore Susan, a stylist next door at Vidal Sassoon! Whenever she comes in she's already in some amazing outfit and ends up diving into the sale head first, surfacing with some find that looks fantastic and she totally gets. Today she made off with this ultra-cool Raquel Allegra striped and shredded tee and an Anda and Masha hat-so cute together, and both on sale! See you soon, neighbor!

Katie has been a Metier customer for years and it's always a pleasure to see her in the store in old-school Metier outfits that still look fantastic! She recently launched her food blog, Mom's Kitchen Handbook, with her in our Isabel Marant Tulip dress! Her blog is a great reference for those of us trying to get our kids to eat healthy, but also quite handy for awesome snack ideas- apple & nut-butter sandwiches, anyone?!

Besides our infamous sales, which Katie is a huge fan of, her favorite go-to pieces from Metier include a one-shouldered Alexander Wang dress (that she looked fabulous in, might we add!) and Cathy Waterman earrings that were a surprise from her husband.
