June is here! Today's inspiration comes from this article in
the Wall Street Journal featuring Maria Cornejo and her husband, artist
Mark Borthwick, in their kitchen of their Brooklyn home. Eschewing
cookbooks and restaurants, Mark and Maria prefer to cook at home in an
organic and experimental way with their family and lots of guests.
"Our
kitchen is the most used room in the house. Everyone ends up
congregating here or in the garden, and Mark usually cooks some
fantastic thing and then I clean up. Over the summer we had a dinner
with 50 people out in the garden and it was just crazy—candles, lots of
lovely food and a lot of mess."

I've been to a couple of their dinners in the last few years. They are amazing. Mark is a great cook.
