We're back.

Hello Metier Fans!

Since Metier closed, we've been filling our days as stylists, consultants, editors and supermoms, all the while, brainstorming our next great adventure. We've thoroughly missed our day-to-day at Metier, the beautiful garments and jewels within and, most importantly––you, our clients.

Many cappuccinos, a few late nights at Bar Jules, and 101 text messages later, we reached an exciting decision to re-launch Metier as a jewelry site and begin a series of pop-ups and trunk shows. Jewelry has always been an essential part of Metier. You've seen us draped in chains, charms, stacks of rings and endless bracelets. We love the history of Estate Jewelry, the craft of modern day and the thrill of the hunt for each exquisite bauble. Jewelry symbolizes commitment, friendship and memories. That said, we feel passionate about growing this part of the business.

We're launching with a fresh collection of antiques while contemporary pieces will soon follow. Coveting something on the site or the blog? Simply e-mail or call us to set up an appointment to view it in person.

We're hosting our first pop-up shop in Hayes Valley, June 28th and 29th. Please save the dates and look out for more details to come. Also in the works, designer collaborations and a dreamy "Shop our Clients' Closets Sale" coming this Fall!

Happy Birthday Sheri!

We celebrated Sheri's birthday last week with a classic San Francisco night out in North Beach. We strolled from Metier through the colorful Chinatown shops to the infamous Comstock Saloon for cocktails and delicious pre-dinner snacks. Cheddar crackers with pepper jelly and cream cheese, homemade barbecue chips with ranch dressing- yes please!








From the Saloon we headed to Washington Square for pizza at Tony's Pizza Napoletana. The menu had every pizza imaginable- coal-fired, gas-fired, wood-fired, Sicilian, New York-style, even gluten-free! We scored one of the infamous Margherita pizzas (they only make 73 per day) and the World Champion pizza master Tony himself even made an appearance at our table!






In typical Metier fashion, we ended the night strong...with a big pile of presents and lots of dessert. We managed to polish off tiramisu, neapolitan ice cream cake, Mon T's homemade brownies and chocolate-dipped strawberries, and Rebecca's apricot crumble.

It was another fabulous night of food and laughs with the family, this time celebrating a milestone birthday of one of our best friends. Happy Birthday, Sheri!

Sommer on 7x7's Street Style!

Our very own Sommer Naffz was recently snapped by 7x7's Street Style blog! We love her blue-on-blue outfit: an Equipment top, vintage 3.1 Phillip Lim cardigan, and Current/Elliott Stiletto jeans mixed with H&M leopard wedges and vintage jewelry from her grandmother. Many of you will recognize Sommer from past years at Metier. We're excited to have our fun friend back on the team after a few year hiatus! Welcome back, Som- you're turning heads already!

Metier x SF Design Week!

We're excited to support this year's San Francisco Design Week by participating in Look About, a week-long project bringing the work of up-and coming Bay Area designers into local design-conscious retailers. The Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) and Retail Design Institute (RDI) chose several stores around the city to showcase the designers' work, including us and our friends at Gimme Shoes, MAC, etc.

Through June 16th, prints by Becky Hui Chan and Rinee Shah, as well as custom bicycles designed by Ube Urban will be on display at Metier. Stop by to check them out or visit the SF Design Week website for more information on other participating stores and events around the city.

Goodbye, Monica!

We are excited (and teary-eyed!) to announce that after six years as part of the Metier family, our friend and co-worker, Monica, has bought a house with her family and is moving to Sacramento. We are so proud to see her making this move with her husband and 1-year-old, Pablo, and are lucky that she'll be right up the road. But it goes without saying that we'll still miss her laugh, her big hugs, her almonds stashed in the drawer, her makeup bag full of lipsticks and glosses, and her dance moves. With every end there's a new beginning and it couldn't be more true. We love you, Moni!

We celebrated her departure and the spring birthdays with dinner at Pauline's Pizza and Sheri's strawberry shortcake. Here are some of our Instagrams from the party!
