New Resort 2009 arrivals from Zero + Maria Cornejo

The Zero + Maria Cornejo's Resort 2009 collection has just arrived at Metier! Look out for bold neons, dégradé fading colors, and Japanese-inspired textiles and shapes. And in celebration of her 10 year anniversary, Cornejo also re-cut ten of her classic dresses with her signature emphasis on draping and geometry, several of which we have in the store.

Alexander Wang wins CFDA/Vogue Fashion Award

We send our heartfelt congratulations to our friend Alexander Wang, winner of the 2008 Council of Fashion Designers of America/Vogue Fashion Fund award. The prestigious award, which includes a $200,000 prize and industry mentoring, is given to emerging fashion designers each year. Past winners include Phillip Lim, Rodarte, and Zac Posen.

Congratulations are also due to designer duo Vena Cava, who were named runners up in the competition.
